Organization/group helping people to free themselves from debt.?
I have a friend who has poor money management skills. I do think it’s going to be detrimental to our friendship if I start to try to get him to improve it, as things like that are usually better from strangers.
Are there any organizations or group which would work with him as an individual person to get him organized so he can be guided into acquiring the necessary skills to get out of debt? I am sure there are a lot of people like him…Given that he has not been out of debt for quite a while I do not think he’ll ever manage all by himself, so I really think he needs a trainer/somebody who keeps him on track.
there seem to be a couple of different CCCS online. Are they all the same or different?

Dumping Debt: Breaking the Chains of Debt $22.71 Myth: Debt is a tool and should be used to help create prosperity. Truth: Debt isnt used by wealthy people nearly as much as we are led to believe. Debt is dumb. Most normal people are just plain broke because they are in debt up to their eyeballs with no hope of help. If youre in debt, then youre a slave because you do not have the freedom to use your money to help change your family tree. It takes a lot of will, discipline, courage and help to slay the debt monster. But it can be done. Imagine how much you could put toward retirement if you just didnt have a stinking car payment? This is how the wealthy really build their wealth. Debt is dumb. Welcome to the real world The myth has been sold that we should use OPM (other peoples money) to prosper. The academic garbage is spread really thick on this issue. My contention is that debt brings on enough risk to offset any advantage that could be gained through leverage of debt. Debt Bondage $92.4 Debt bondage (or bonded labor) is an arrangement whereby a person is forced to pay off a loan with direct labor in place of currency, over an agreed or obscure period of time. When the debtor is then tricked or trapped into working for very little or no pay, or when the value of their work is significantly greater than the original sum of money borrowed, some consider the arrangement to be a form of unfree labour or debt slavery. It is similar to peonage, indenture or the truck system. Stable and Unstable Debt Dynamics $106.74 This paper will link the two important aspects of Macroeconomic theories: Debt Financing Policies and debt dynamics process development. Todays research in the field of Debt Financing is mainly focusing on the debt accumulation due to the budget deficit running. In contrast, this paper is looking at how the Bond Issuance and Monetary policies can affect the Snowball Effect (Stable/Unstable Debt Dynamics). Debt Dynamics is the process, which increases countrys debt even if it is not borrowing any extra money. In the worst case the process of Unstable Debt Dynamics leads to default. The analysis is researching the question: Does the inability to use Monetary Policy to finance debt can lead to higher debt dynamics, compared to the countries, which are able to use both strategies? Dated Panel Least Squares method with fixed effects was chosen for the analysis, including data for all EU countries for the period 19962009. The empirical findings of the paper will show that indeed the Eurousing countries do have a higher debt dynamics level, compared to the non Eurousing ones. The paper concludes with the discussion about the interesting results of the analysis. Aid Effectiveness, Debt Capacity and Debt Management $133.82 The study analyzes effectiveness of foreign aid in Pakistan in terms of its ability in promoting GDP growth. The analysis is based on a theoretical model of public sector behaviour. The results show that foreign aid has not contributed favourably to GDP growth rate in Pakistan. The ineffectiveness can be attributed to indirect diversion of aid funds to non productive activities and inefficiency in resource allocation, especially in the public sector. Howvere the study argues that foreign aid has been instrumental in supporting the growth rate in consumption that otherwise would not have been possible. Furthermore foreign aid and external borrowing made it easier to avoid hard policy choices such as heavy taxation of income and consumption. The analyses reveal that Pakistans long run debtservicing capacity is extremely low, primarily due to low savings and productivity. External borrowing must be undertaken within the framework of economic plans rather than making the planning exercise contingent on the availability of external resources. Wealth, Virtual Wealth and Debt $101.96 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Wealth, Virtual Wealth and Debt is a 1926 book by the Nobel prizewinning chemist Frederick Soddy on monetary policy and society and the role of energy in economic systems. Soddy criticized the focus on monetary flows in economics, arguing that real wealth was derived from the use of energy to transform materials into physical goods and services. Soddys economic writings were largely ignored in his time, but would later be applied to the development of ecological economics in the late 20th century. In his 1926 book Wealth, Virtual Wealth and Debt: The Solution of the Economic Paradox (a book that presaged the market crash of 1929) Soddy pointed out the fundamental difference between real wealth buildings, machinery, oil, pigs and virtual wealth, in the form of money and debt. International Debt and Problems of Development $100.37 This study assesses the impact of the international debt burden on Cameroons development. It is revealed in the study that Cameroon embarked on external borrowing in order to meet domestic expenditure and ensure a stable and viable local economy for meaningful development. Against this background series of international loans were contracted in order to uplift the living standards of Cameroonians. The underdevelopment theory is used as the theoretical framework to guide the study and test the propositions. The findings showed that Cameroons international debt is a curse rather than a cure as the country devotes a greater part of its resources and revenue to the management of these loans and consequently cannot raise financial capital capable of fostering development. The study recommends the collective will of African countries to build selfsustaining local economies, reject massive expropriation of local resources and capital flight and the consequent rejection of external loans which often come with stringent conditionality meant to perpetuate underdevelopment. External Debt and Nigerias Economic Development $103.56 This book investigates into the fact that external debt issue today stands out as one of the greatest concerns in international economic relations and also in international politics. For the developing country like Nigeria, in spite of her abundant natural resource endowment, has not been able to grow and develop to any appreciable level, it is discovered that one of the factors retarding Nigerias economic growth and development is her huge external debt burden. Both theoretical and empirical approaches are employed in examining the issues surrounding the external debt overhang and its consequences on the Nigerian economy over the years. The empirical approach involves the application of Two Stages Least Squares (2SLS) with the unit root test of co integration to estimate the regression model. The book recommends a wholistic macroeconomic management to give room for sustainable economic growth and development as well as the adoption of proactive measures to forestall the reoccurrence of external debt overhang in future. Budget Deficits and Debt: Issues and Options $62.89 Few economic issues have such farreaching implications as excessive government budget deficits and debt. It is almost universally agreed that fiscal imbalances retard economic growth, impose heavy burdens on future generations, and heighten the risk of financial market disruption. It is also agreed, however, that correcting such imbalances is a difficult task. Around the world, countries are attempting to address the problem of excessive deficits and debt. This issue is at the core of many political and economic debates. To gain a better understanding of the problem and to consider potential solutions, the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City sponsored a symposium on Budget Deficits and Debt: Issues and Options at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, on August 31September 2, 1995. A distinguished group of central bankers, finance ministers, academics, and financial market representatives shared their views and research results on this vital topic. The opening remarks are by Alan Greenspan, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Internet Group Management Protocol $79.66 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Internet Group Management Protocol with Access Control (IGMPAC) has been designed for incorporating AAA functionality in the existing IP multicast model. It will enforce authentication and authorization of an end user or receiver before joining or leaving a secured multicast group. To add AAA functionality, an access router or onehop router of the receiver will act as a Network access server (NAS). IGMPAC is an extended version of Internet Group Management Protocol. It provides a generic clientserver authentication protocol, where the receiver or end user will act as a client, the AAA Server will act as a server and the access router (onehop router of the receiver) will perform the forwarding task. Thus, any suitable authentication protocol (e.g., Extensible Authentication Protocol(EAP)) having clientserver entities can be encapsulated over the IGMPAC architecture. The IGMPAC will not disrupt the usual function of the IGMPv3 (to be used for classical multicast group), and the access control mechanism of IGMPAC will take place to join/leave a secured or restricted multicast group only. Pay It Down!: Debt-Free on $10 a Day $5.99 Jean Chatzky has been working with viewers of NBC’s Today show for a series on how to get out of debt once and for all. Her method, both on TV and in this book, is simple yet powerful: the key is saving just $10 a day that you currently waste. It doesnÂ’t sound like much – a movie ticket or lunch for two at McDonaldÂ’s – but $10 really can take you from debt to wealth in just a few years. And because it doesnÂ’t feel like an impossible goal, people are more likely to stick with ChatzkyÂ’s plan than an extreme regimen of spending cutbacks. Chatzky is focusing on debt because itÂ’s the single biggest threat to our financial health. The average American family has sixteen credit cards and high-rate debt of more than $8000, not even counting car loans and mortgages. They pay more than $1000 a year in interest alone. Debt makes people feel depressed and overwhelmed, leaving them without enough money for the truly important things in life – education, retirement, owning a home, feeling secure. Chatzky, one of AmericaÂ’s most popular personal finance experts, writes in down-to-earth, woman-next-door language about how to get started right away, without giving up the things that truly give you pleasure. She offers practical, accessible strategies to help readers find the money to pay off their bills, lower their interest rates, and improve their credit scores. Featuring real-life examples of people featured on her Today show series, Pay It Down can transform debtors into future millionaires. |

High Performance Group Key Management $96.59 Current market analysis indicates that the most challenging issue in IPTV relates to content security. To achieve high access control a sophisticated group key management is required. This key must be updated and distributed each time a new member joins the group or a current one leaves it. Because of its dependency on timeconsuming cryptographic operations this rekeying process can become a bottleneck in the PayTV system over Internet. This book tackles this problem by providing novel highperformance architectures, called rekeying processors, which act as coprocessors in the server environment to accelerate group rekeying. The direct effect thereof is higher quality of service regarding joining members and higher access control concerning leaving ones. In addition, a benchmarking framework is presented to evaluate the performance of different rekeying algorithms. The book is intended for Internet PayTV providers who plan to scale up their service without loss of access control or QoS. Designers of new rekeying solutions will find a reliable benchmark framework to evaluate their algorithms. Nonspecialists will gain an insight into a serious challenge in the emerging IPTV.
